Biolin Scientific develops, provides and supports scientific instrumentation and technologies that enable characterization and analysis of surface phenomena. Specific brands within Biolin Scientific are Q-Sense, Farfield, BioNavis, KSV, Nima and Attension and specific technologies are Quartz Crystal Microbalance with Dissipation Monitoring (QCM-D), Dual Polarization Interferometry (DPI), Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Interfacial Shear Rheology (ISR), Polarization Modulation Infrared (PMI), Langmuir Blodgett (LB), Surface Tension and Contact Angle analysis and Brewster Angle Microscopy (BAM).

 

Biolin Scientific is actively searching for a Territory Manager to be located in the Boston/Cambridge, MA area as part of our North American Sales Organization and anticipates that the duties and responsibilities for this position will include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Promotion and sales of Biolin Scientific products in the Q-Sense, Farfield and KSV brands

 

Sales

 

·         Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals in assigned territory

 

·         Drive the sales process through communication with customers in person, by phone and email

 

·         Coordinate and conduct seminars and instrument demonstrations

 

·         Attend and participate in conferences, trade-shows, and workshops to build sales pipeline

 

Customer support

 

·         Communicate with customers regarding methodologies, applications and product use

 

·         Respond to customers inquiries and provide routine customer support and troubleshooting

 

·         Maintain working knowledge of literature reference database and applications

 

·         Document activities, maintain accurate database records and an up to date pipeline report

 

Scientific Development

 

·         Present oral presentations and posters at conferences and workshops

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Minimum 3 years sales experience working with scientific instrumentation

 

·         Proven track record of sales success in selling to both academic and industrial markets

 

·         Degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Bio Engineering or similar field and expertise in surface science strongly preferred

 

·         Strong communication and presentation skills (a record of presenting material to scientists)

 

·         Ability to work in a fast paced, interdisciplinary environment

 

·         Ability to work as part of a team of scientists, sales personnel and support staff to develop and expand the Biolin Scientific market

 

·         Significant travel may be required
