Polyelectrolyte multilayer on QCM-D sensor

Polymers are being employed in innumerable applications. QCM-D is successfully used to monitor build-up of polymer layers and characterize them in terms of hydration/solvation, crosslinking and interaction with other molecules. The multi-frequency measurements and adapted modeling software enables quantification of the film thickness and viscoelastic properties. Measurement examples can be found below along with related application notes.

For a complete list of Application notes, see Download Center.

We offer a wide range of sensors with coatings suitable for different applications.

QCM-D can be combined with several other techniques to get simultaneous and complementary measurement data. Special modules are available for electrochemistry, microscopy or ellipsometry to mention some examples.
