The Q-Sense Electrochemistry cell allows simultaneous QCM-D and electrochemistry measurements on a single surface. The Teflon® lined measurement chamber is designed to prevent non-specific binding during standard QCM-D measurements or EC/QCM-D combination experiments. In the Q-Sense E4 system a maximum of two electrochemistry cells can be used simultaneously.
The potentiostat or software to acquire electrochemistry data is not included, but the QEC cell is compatible with most potentiostats.
The Electrochemistry Cell acts as a Faraday Cage. The sensor crystal is connected to the floating ground of the potentiostat.
