Cellulose

Cellulose and cellulase on QCM-D sensorCellulose applications with QCM-D ranges from pulp and paper research to biofuel development and cleaning of cellulose based materials. The uniqueness of measuring wet mass and structural properties by QCM-D in real-time allows for characterization of build-up, swelling and structural changes of cellulose as well as its interaction with other molecules.  Related to cellulose is also biofilm formation which can be an issue in pulp and paper production. We provide a pre-coated cellulose sensor.

We offer a wide range of sensors with coatings suitable for different applications.

QCM-D can be combined with several other techniques to get simultaneous and complementary measurement data. Special modules are available for electrochemistry, microscopy or ellipsometry to mention some examples.
