QCM-D model to study implants

The performance of medical devices depends strongly on the interactions between the biomaterial and its physiological environment. The surface sensitive QCM-D technology is a useful evaluation tool, from studying build-up and structural properties of biomaterial coatings such as polyelectrolyte multilayers, to their compatibility with plasma proteins and cells. Read more in the Biomaterial Overview.

We offer a wide range of sensors with coatings suitable for different applications.

QCM-D can be combined with several other techniques to get simultaneous and complementary measurement data. Special modules are available for electrochemistry, microscopy or ellipsometry to mention some examples.
